
Hilda Havran
Director
For over 20 years, Hilda has worked in roles aimed at unleashing the potential of people. Her career spans across various HR roles in Banking and Telecommunication and, before joining YSC, she was the Regional Head for L&D for Africa for an International, German Freight Forwarding business. She joined YSC in 2013 and has worked with large global multinationals as well as local businesses. Before joining the London team in 2021, she co-led the South African business. Here she exceled at developing team and individual interventions and building strong, coaching relationships to bring about impactful change. Her work resonates with her purpose of being a catalyst for change and she enjoys the dynamic and varied nature of working with leaders across all levels. She has worked across several sectors, but has built up expertize in Mining, Energy, Retail, Banking and Technology. She brings a systemic, attentive and incisive approach that balances analytical insight with care and empathy. She makes clients feel comfortable but does not hold back in creating the challenge and stretch that is needed for personal, professional and business growth.
Hilda is a qualified psychologist with a Master’s degree (Cum Laude) in Organizational Psychology. She also holds an Honour’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Early in her career, she volunteered for many years as a counsellor at a crisis center in Johannesburg and coauthored Thinking About Therapy, a practical guide to navigating therapeutic modalities. She has an Executive Leadership Coaching qualification obtained at the University of South Africa.
Born in South Africa, Hilda has multi-cultural roots spanning Belgium, Germany, Poland and Hungary. She lives in the UK with her husband and son and the family have traveled extensively; favorite destinations being Japan and Argentina. When not traveling or working she is actively involved in school and community initiatives and is an active (and evolving) DIYer.
