They’re far from alone among UK companies, but Scottish investment and savings firms are still dominated by white, middle-aged men in suits. To mark the launch of the finance industry’s Diversity Project for Scotland, the Royal Bank of Scotland asked key figures, including Ed Cochrane, Director at YSC, for their insights on how things could be improved. As Ed points out in the article, “Finance is a very competitive environment, particularly with all the digital newcomers. Companies need to innovate, and greater diversity brings in different backgrounds and ways of thinking.”
