Senior Accountant Role

We are looking to bring a Senior Accountant into the YSC North America team, located in our New York City office. The Senior Accountant will work across the US and Canada businesses.



  • Work closely with the Financial Controller on all aspects of the monthly financial close.
  • Assist the Financial Controller in creating monthly report decks and variance analysis for Americas.
  • Lead and manage weekly cash forecasting.
  • Lead and manage the 6 Month Rolling Forecast.
  • Assist with annual budget reporting.
  • Lead Audit process with the internal Finance team and third part accounting firm.
  • Manage intercompany billing reporting and reconciliations.
  • Assist with Canada reporting with aim of taking over responsibility entirely.
  • Lead on rolling forward all monthly schedules.


Balance Sheet Ledger

  • Review and Sign off on AP, weekly payment runs, and cash transactions.
  • Review and approve all company American Express expenses in accordance with company policy.
  • Complete and manage monthly expense accruals.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain all Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Client invoicing and Accounts Receivable collection, as needed.



  • Assist in federal, state, and local US and Canada tax work.
  • Process expenses for payroll submission twice a month.
  • Partner with other YSC entities globally to process and reconcile intercompany transactions.
  • Assist in Deltek System Management.
  • Other ad hoc data analysis and reporting.


  • Minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, that requires a hands-on and pragmatic approach.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
  • Experience with work in a multi-territory organization is a plus, as is experience in financial analysis.
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work well independently, team oriented, detail-oriented and high organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills needed.
