Our Approach

Resource Manager

The Resource Manager is responsible for tracking, monitoring and planning consultant resources for the successful delivery of client work. The Resource Manager is a trusted adviser to team leads, partnering with consultants to resolve resourcing conflicts using analytical expertise to spot trends and potential risk areas. They will always be working to improve resourcing processes and opportunities to create efficiencies and visibility of capacity. Reports into the EME Client Operations Manager.

Core Accountabilities


  • Analyzing financial and forecasting data in order to advise on resource planning requirements and key performance trends. Reporting on this to key stakeholders (e.g. board, team leads, Chief Operating Officer and Europe Client Operations Manager).
  • Reviewing internal processes and tools to improve resource planning, focusing on maximization of utilization, streamlining client processes and driving operational excellence.
  • Advising consultants and operations team on resourcing solutions, applying a commercial lens to maximize revenue. Advising on complex/global clients.
  • Escalation point for resourcing issues – identifying suitable resourcing alternatives and working with team leads to reallocate existing appointments when needed.
  • Tracking consultant absences in conjunction with HR and advising team leads around holiday provision.
  • Handling sensitive information and data.
  • Maintaining consultant capabilities database.
  • Working closely with senior leaders to manage new client allocation, existing client management reallocation as required and consultant resource allocation on large projects. − Working with Commercial team to allocate new clients to teams and identifying suitable resources for BD activities.
  • In partnership with the Coaching Coordinator, overseeing coaching resourcing: − Supporting with coach matching − Ensuring coaching bios are up to date.
  • Global resourcing − Supporting Strategic Business Units with resourcing global work − Ensuring strong communication between Strategic Business Units (globally) regarding local opportunities for client development − Resource borrowing – ensuring all international delivery follows the resource borrowing protocol.
  • EDP training: coordinating sign off process for consultants and associates undergoing EDP training, alongside HR team and local EDP Champions.



  • Managing associate delivery in line with available internal capacity and associate delivery model clients/projects. Responsible for approving associate usage, ensuring all information is correctly provided.
  • Detailed usage and finance tracking and reporting.
  • Associate recruitment: screening applications, running interviews, enforcing recruitment process, agreeing rates, issuing contracts and onboarding packs.
  • Relationship building and engagement through events and communications (newsletters).
  • Supporting Strategic Business Units with associate queries and requests.
  • Maintaining accurate database and ensuring GDPR policies are communicated and adhered to.
  • Ensuring good internal relationships between associates and consultants through managing complaints/concerns and gathering and monitoring feedback.


Team Management

  • Supporting with preparing for and running weekly Europe Operations team meetings.
  • Deputizing for Europe Client Operations Manager during periods of absence.
  • Supporting Europe Client Operations Manager with operations resource issues.
  • Training: running regular training for the Operations team and broader business where suitable. Ensuring that associate end-to-end processes and resource borrowing processes are understood and followed by all relevant parties.

Core Skills

  • Excellent stakeholder management: This role will require extensive liaison with senior stakeholders within YSC as well as our pool of associates. The candidate must therefore be able to demonstrate confidence, credibility and flexibility in managing stakeholders.
  • Excellent organization and planning skills: High levels of organization, privatization and planning skills in managing multiple work streams and managing expectations. Being able to join the dots and take a holistic view.
  • Resilience: Maintains confidence and optimism in the face of ambiguity; meets pressing deadlines; works well under pressure; has capacity to cope with volume.
  • Excellent technical skills: Able to use latest MS Suite programs, particularly Excel, to an intermediate level.
  • Analytics: Understanding of complex information and requirements.
  • Motivation: Interest and motivation towards our work and clients and a desire for personal and professional development; receptive to feedback; demonstrates conscientiousness, reliability and pro-activity; open to new ideas and change; self-starter.
  • Relationship building: Enthusiasm and helpfulness to others through a collaborative approach; calmness under pressure; an ability to meet pressing deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability: An energetic and positive-minded approach is essential as well as the ability to contribute new ideas/approaches and grasp new methodologies.


  • Three years’ relevant work experience.
  • Track record of providing exceptional service (internal and external stakeholders).
  • Comfortable working autonomously and in partnership with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree (desirable).


Must be eligible to work in the UK and available to commute to work in the London office (flexible work from home arrangements to be approved).
