Profile Summary

YSC’s Innovation Practice creates and delivers distinctive, compelling and relevant frameworks and related tools to underpin our consulting services. In doing so, we shape the market with our thought leadership, integrated client propositions, leadership white papers, and best practice benchmarks. The Thought Leadership & Solution Development team work in partnership with Data and Digital Services to co-create frameworks and solutions that are technology enabled and demonstrate ROI through good data measurement.

Roles & Responsibilities

In partnership with the People, Commercial, Marketing and Client teams, the Innovation Practice supports the business development and delivery of YSC’s IP and service offerings, in a way that reflects our premium pricing resulting in repeat business, through:

  • Creating new frameworks to address client challenges
  • Evolving existing YSC’s programs, models and services to ensure client relevance
  • Distinguishing YSC in the market as the leadership authority
  • Supporting consultants to grow their clients through new content
  • Equipping consultants with the right collateral to deliver quality work
  • Ensuring measurement and demonstrating ROI

The Thought leadership & Solution Design team work in agile project streams, with a mix of creating new content and evolving existing products and services.

Team members may take on other projects that support the evolution of the Innovation team.

Desired Skills & Experience

The successful candidate, amongst other things, will have:

  • Graduate degree in Psychology (I/O, Business, or Clinical Psychology) or Business (Organizational Behavior/ Development, Management, Human Resources, Leadership) or equivalent levels of skill and knowledge
  • A dedicated interest in a career in Leadership/Organizational Consulting
  • Experience working within or partnering with large organisations
  • Experience using evidence-based research within the field of leadership and the ability to carry this out independently
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Track record of generating insights that leads to new thinking or new collateral
  • Advanced capability in technical platforms leveraged by YSC, including Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Yammer)
  • Ability to blend the organisation context with great psychological insights
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment
  • Must be a self-starter and forward thinker both externally and internally
  • Strong organisational skills
  • A track record of influencing global stakeholders to gain buy-in for key change initiatives
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, able to articulate and promote ideas through logical and compelling arguments, and be capable of presenting the results of a project in a clear and effective manner
  • Self-motivated with the drive and initiative to carry out projects according to plan, and the ability to quickly adapt in a fast-changing environment
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team across regions and capacity to travel globally
