Profile Summary

As a YSC consultant, you operate at senior levels with clients across the public and private sectors internationally, including large corporates and Private Equity backed businesses.

You work with clients across their entire people agenda, but with a focused specialism in consulting around Diversity & Inclusion: helping them to make key people decisions based on rigorous assessment, coaching and developing their leaders with an added focus on inclusive behaviours, benchmarking their levels of talent, identifying potential, and helping them ensure they have effective succession plans as well as an inclusive culture. You help our clients develop inclusive leaders, teams and cultures, high performing teams, implement leadership development programmes and embed the values and culture necessary to achieve their business goals. Core to your work is developing deep insight into individuals, teams and organisational cultures.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Work with clients, delivering consulting services to develop and grow leaders within complex organisations of all sizes, designing solutions to meet the client’s needs.
    • Partner with D&I Practice Lead(s), Innovation and the regional Head to establish a regional strategy for D&I (business growth and client focused)
    • Working closely with EME consultants, D&I Practice Lead(s) and Innovation to position a consistent overview of our solutions and point of view on D&I to clients
    • Facilitating D&I-related solutions with clients (e.g. workshops, strategic discussions, insight gathering and feedback)
  • Engage and build relationships with senior executives, acting as a trusted business advisor.
  • Engage in building new business opportunities for YSC, developing networks within existing clients as well as reaching beyond to new organisations with whom YSC can partner.
  • Lead and/or support business development conversations and delivery that focuses on our D&I solutions
  • Co-designing content specific to client requests with D&I Practice Lead(s) (including discussion documents, proposals, through to tailoring solution specific content for client contexts)
  • Manage client projects alongside a wider consulting and operations team to deliver effective solutions to clients’ more intricate problems. Consultants work globally to scope projects, manage budgets and ensure value is added to clients at every stage.
    • Spotting opportunity to integrate D&I across our service lines and client systems
    • Acting as key point of contact/lead on a few D&I clients
  • Integrate into the YSC community: share knowledge, learnings, feedback and experience to develop yourself and colleagues around you.
    • Partnering on co-designing and delivering capability building sessions for our internal EME consultants where needed
    • Working in partnership with others to develop and roll out measurement of impact across the D&I practice (internally and externally)
    • Supporting our commercial and Innovation teams with establishing regional pricing guidelines for our standard D&I services
  • Bring psychological thinking to the fore, ensuring communications are insightful, engaging and offer tangible solutions and impact that are ethically sound.
  • Contribute to the internal efficiencies and success of YSC.
  • Work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining excellent standards.
  • Successfully manage workflow to meet monthly targets.

  • Demonstratable subject matter expertise on D&I and related topics, with relevance and application to the workplace
  • Knowledge and proven experience in consulting and delivering D&I services in house or across client systems

Other Requirements

  • Willing to travel for short-term client work within Europe or to other YSC offices
  • Willing to work in a flexible manner to respond to client demand
  • A Masters in a Behavioral Science, e.g. Occupational Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Executive Coaching
  • Significant experience in a D&I role/ or equivalent consulting experience
  • Knowledge of key UK/Europe legislation related to D&I in the workplace (such as the Equal Opportunities Act 2009)
  • Stays up to date and informed of relevant D&I news, thought leadership and research
  • Additional language capability desirable but not essential
