Susannah Yule

Managing Director of North America

Susannah is a global citizen who has worked extensively across cultures. After training as a Business Psychologist, she started her career in New Zealand, she spent 5 years in London, 3 years running YSC’s Hong Kong practice, a 3-month secondment to Mumbai and considerable time in South Africa, before moving to New York in 2019 to join the North America leadership team. This gives her a unique perspective to help leaders adjust to and thrive in new environments, whether that is an international relocation, a new company culture, or responding to the fast pace of change all leaders face today. Susannah predominantly partners with C-suite leaders, individually and collectively, to accelerate their impact and achievement of business results. She has led a number of YSC’s largest clients over her nearly 10 years with the firm. She works across industries with a particular focus on Pharmaceutical, Financial Services, Technology and Retail clients.

In her work with clients, Susannah is incisive in her ability to cut through complexity and ask questions that help leaders or teams to overcome blockers to their effectiveness. In her coaching practice, she provokes leaders to look at things differently, delivers hard messages in a way that can be well received, and brings a clear focus on practical action and momentum. She was recently interviewed by the CEO of a global recruitment firm as part of a 3-episode podcast on resilience, leadership and team dynamics.

She holds a MSc in Applied Psychology with First Class Honors from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. She is a Chartered Psychologist in the U.K. and New Zealand, and an ICF Accredited Coach. She holds a number of psychometric accreditations and having started her career for a test provider, she has experience of training others to interpret these tools.

In June 2021, Susannah became a Board Director for RAW, a charity that was set up to help break New Zealand’s ever-growing cycle of intergenerational offending, educational underachievement, persistent poverty and violence for a group of disadvantaged women.

Susannah lives in New York with her husband and two daughters. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, fitness classes, cooking and trying out new restaurants.

“Being coached by Susannah has been a turning point in my career, my key stakeholders have seen a miraculous turnaround.”
