Ronald Tay

Ronald is an experienced international organizational development consultant, consummate speaker, coach and educator. His 25 years of working experience spans across government, consumer goods, banking and finance and social media/technology sectors where he served as Head of Talent and Leadership functions in large multi-national corporations across global geographies.

Ron has amassed extensive experience in consulting with diverse businesses and is particularly skilled in solutioning business challenges into leadership/talent initiatives, facilitating Managing Director promotions, succession planning and organization transformation. In his coaching and interactions with clients, Ron has distinguished himself as an incisive thinker, keen listener and adopts a holistic approach in his coaching conversations. His coachees attest that Ron demonstrates deep care for his clients which in turn allows them to be fully vulnerable and invested in the developmental journey while at the same time he would hold them accountable for their commitments and actions towards personal and leadership transformation.

In addition to his current responsibilities at YSC, he is a Dean’s List award-winning adjunct faculty at the Singapore Management University lecturing on Business Ethics at the undergraduate and masters level. He is a published author of two books: Career Conversations and Leadership Conversations which chronicle the success journeys of leaders across a broad spectrum of industries and experiences and distil advice on career and leadership excellence.

Ronald holds a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Southern Illinois with distinctions earned in all his modules and has earned him the Valedictorian award for highest results achieved in his MBA cohort. He also possesses a Bachelor of Arts (Honors – Upper Division) degree from the National University of Singapore. Ron is born and bred in Singapore, effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin. He has lived four years in Hong Kong where he has picked up conversational Cantonese and calls it his second home. He is an avid traveler, loves tennis, working out at the gym and indulges in the traditional game of mahjong whenever time permits.
