Rachel Blanco

Rachel worked for YSC from 2013-2020 and returned to the business again in 2021. She works in the YSC Ops team as a Client Coordinator and has been project manager for some of YSC’s key clients, including several in the FTSE 100. Prior to working for YSC, Rachel was part of the marketing and strategy project teams for a Scottish public health sector organisation, as well as working for an independent membership organisation supporting the Edinburgh business community and promoting local commerce. She has worked in a variety of public and private sector roles. 

Rachel studied an MA Joint Honours degree in International Business and Languages at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh including a year of business studies taught in Spanish at the ICADE School of Business and Economics (University of Comillas) in Madrid. She is also PRINCE 2 Foundation and Practitioner qualified. In addition to her academic language studies, she developed her fluent Spanish and Portuguese more fully due to extensive time spent living in Spain and Latin America. ​

Rachel enjoys working closely with clients and building relationships, and with her keen eye for detail, she is keenly interested in operational excellence. In her spare time, she loves cooking, swimming, dancing and international travel, and immersing herself in other cultures.
