Kerry McDermott

Kerry’s brings a blend of experience to the leadership strategy space, including research and data analysis, in house performance management and succession planning, and external consulting experience. She combines these experiences to bring a unique perspective that is focused both on a deep understanding of psychological data and metrics, as well as an understanding of how leadership plays practically within organizations. Over the course of her career, Kerry has assessed senior leaders for selection and development, partnered with executive teams on Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion strategy, and facilitated team dynamics diagnoses and solutions. She has worked across most major industry sectors including retail, finance and banking, pharmaceutical, private equity, and technology. She uses her background in business psychology to understand the reasons behind different behaviors, reactions, and decisions in order to provide insight to leaders that supports necessary shifts in their leadership.

Kerry holds a Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Montclair State University and an undergraduate degree in Psychology (minor in Biology) from Binghamton University. She is experienced in a number of psychometric instruments including the Firo-B and Hogan Suite.​

Kerry is originally from New York, but has more recently moved to the DC region. She spends her free time learning new recipes, exploring wine country, and setting up playdates for her rescue dog.
