Katherine Greig
Katherine Greig brings 20 years of experience with a unique and diverse background. She trained as a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where she worked on a number of transformation projects in the pharmaceutical, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and financial services sectors. Specific projects included assessing leadership capabilities that led to higher engagement and stronger customer retention. She learned to appreciate the impact micro behaviours can have on team cohesion and effectiveness.
When Hurricane Sandy hit New York City, she joined the White House’s Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force led by then-U.S. Secretary for Housing and Urban Development, Shaun Donovan. There she worked on issues concerning insurance policy, housing resilience, and flood mitigation in the face of climate change. She continued this work with the NYC Mayor’s Office of Recovery and Resiliency and then as a Fellow & Strategic Advisor at the Wharton Risk Center. She frequently developed and ran large, multi-stakeholder groups to develop, influence and drive change across public, private, academic and community-based organisations. She is passionate about developing strategic alignment through storytelling and bringing diverse voices to the conversation to broaden stakeholders’ understanding of significant, complex issues.
Most recently she worked as Head of Transition at Flood Re, a UK reinsurance scheme that underwrites flood risk. She was part of the team focused on sustaining a High-Performance Organisation, responsible for developing and leading Board Strategy discussions, and coaching. Her aim as a coach is to establish a trusting and supportive partnership which inspires professional insight, growth and even risk taking.
She has a Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching from the Henley Business School, a MALD (Masters of Law and Diplomacy) from Tufts’ Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business, and a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University.
Katherine is the mother to two boys and one pandemic puppy. She loves hiking mountains, small dinner parties, practicing yoga with her husband, and reading under the covers.
