Doug O'Gorman

A chartered Occupational Psychologist, Doug has been working in leadership assessment and development for the past 15 years. Throughout this time he has worked extensively as an executive coach, coaching all the way up to CEO and board level, and across all functions. Doug’s work has extended beyond the UK into mainland Europe, AsiaPac, Middle East and North America, working across a range of sectors. He gained commercial grounding and leadership experience working in general management and operations in the hospitality sector for over 10 years.

The starting point for Doug is helping his coachees understand who they are as leaders and what they want to achieve; from there we work back into the ‘how’ of making this happen. He particularly enjoys supporting leaders in developing their confidence and impact, helping them develop greater levels of influence and improved stakeholder engagement. Doug also enables leaders to develop greater levels of emotional insight so they can ‘tune in’ more readily to what really matters to their people.

His coaching style is insightful, progressive, relational, helping to create the deep insight and understanding needed to support personal growth. Doug basees his approach on an integrative model of coaching, drawing on multiple different models, tools and methodologies tailored to suit the specific needs and requirements of the individual.

Doug has a BSc Psychology and French, MSc Occupational Psychology, CPsychol., and is an ICF Accredited Coaching Practitioner.

Doug lives in Surrey with his wife and two children. He has a passion for open water swimming and enjoys cycling, golf and skiing when he can find the time. A self-confessed foodie, he has a taste for fine wine and good quality food.
