Darin De Klerk


Over the course of his portfolio career, Darin has built up significant experience working with leaders, both within the organisations in which he has been employed, and as a consultant. His experience in individual and organisational leadership development has seen him working across leadership assessment and coaching, team facilitation and training, and talent and culture. Darin’s practice spans sectors including retail, energy, financial services and FMCG. He has a particular passion for coaching, talent and diversity within organisations.

Darin is an accredited executive coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and brings perspective, practicality and compassion to working with leaders in this space. He supports leaders by intuitively helping to spotlight challenges and clarify priorities, building awareness and enabling effective problem solving.

For 10 years prior to YSC, Darin held Learning and Development and Talent Management roles within Energy and Financial Services. His early career was spent in Education, both in secondary and tertiary environments, and in Public Sector as a Project Manager.

He is a Business Psychologist, holding a Masters Degree in Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London. He is qualified in a number of psychometric instruments including FIRO-B, Hogan Suite, MBTI, OPQ, NEO-PIR. He is a registered Psychotechnician in South Africa and a member of the British and South African Psychological Societies.

South African by background, he has lived and worked in Taiwan, France and the UK and is now based south of London. He is a doting father of twin girls and enjoys running and yoga and continues to leverage these activities to develop his patience in the search for greater mindfulness.
