Claire Garner

Claire has over 25 years of global leadership consulting experience, partnering with clients on Board effectiveness, strategic leadership development and fostering high potential talent growth. In her career with YSC she has partnered with a broad range of organizations, working with their top teams to design and roll out strategic leadership initiatives. These include bespoke board effectiveness interventions, top team effectiveness programs, executive coaching for senior leaders.

Claire  works closely with YSC’s Digital and Data Services team to develop our digital leadership proposition, YSCQ. She is a chapter contributor to YSC’s leadership work, Meaning Inc. She has published in the fields of applied psychology and child developmental psychology. Claire has coached and developed leaders and teams globally, having lived and worked in Europe, Asia and South America. She has worked across sectors and functions, including listed, PE backed, privately held businesses and public sector organizations.

She holds an MA in Natural Sciences from the Cambridge University, and a PsychD in Clinical Psychology from Surrey University. She is a PCC qualified coach with the ICF, and an Associate Fellow of the BPS and HKPS.  Prior to YSC, she held various clinical roles within the National Clinical Research teams at the Institute of Psychiatry. A Mancunian by background, she is now based near London. Outside of work she enjoys trail running and trying to train her lockdown rescue dog (occasionally at the same time).
