Balissa Greene
Balissa (she/her/hers) is a managing consultant with over 15 years of leadership, policy, assessment and organisational development experience. Her area of expertise is ensuring fairness, equality and transparency become the golden thread that runs throughout all organisational strategies. She delivers evidence-based Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) solutions through improving analytical capability, sound governance and encouraging empathy.
She brings vast experience of working within some of the UK’s largest public sector organisations such as the Police, NHS, Civil Service and Defence where her successful leadership of multi disciplinary teams to design and deliver strategic, sustainable DEI, programs led to improved organisational performance, culture and reputational standing.
She has been a trusted advisor to C-level leaders where her warm and pragmatic style improves engagement, encourages dialogue and creates positive action amongst stakeholders.
Driven by the need to shine a light on untold stories to influence change, she completed her PhD at the London School of Economics and Political Science which explored the lived experiences and employee lifecycle of overseas workers. This work changed recruitment policy within the British Army and won her the prestigious ‘Practitioner of the Year’ award from the British Psychological Society. It remains one of her proudest professional accomplishments.
Balissa is a chartered Occupational Psychologist and BPS qualified, Occupational Test User in ability and personality (NEO PI-R). She takes a positive psychology, strengths-based approach to coaching and development with a focus on reflection and making progress. She has primary certificates in psychological and performance coaching (ISCP), a BSc in Psychology from Goldsmiths College and an MSc in Organisational Psychology from UMIST (Manchester Business School).
Balissa holds advisory and board roles with nonprofit organisations for passions that are close to her. She is a mentor for early career psychologists and undergraduates from underrepresented communities.
Outside of work, Balissa enjoys finding novel ways to relax with her son. She is also committed to weekly yoga practice, excessive baking, and long walks through the Staffordshire woodlands.
