Anna Harper

Anna is a Managing Consultant at YSC. She began her career in communications working for a broad range of clients from start ups to global FTSE 100 brands. Over her 18 year career she rose to leadership level, solving complex communications challenges across a wide range of client industries including FMCG, travel, healthcare and education. Through this experience she developed her own leadership style, leading teams to successfully deliver projects on everything from sustainability, I&D, consumer brand reputation and issues management. Her love of building client relationships, building effective team cultures and leading with impact led her to pursue a career pivot into the world of leadership development and coaching.

Anna is an experienced coach and holds an Advanced Diploma in Coaching from the Centre for Coaching, accredited by the ACF. Her practice with leaders and entrepreneurs draws on her training and experience to help evolve and transform their impact. Her specialism is in Cognitive Behavioural Coaching, which goes deeper into how our minds can work both for us and against us in the pursuit of our goals. Anna’s passion for supporting people in personal development is evident in the feedback she gets from her clients with one recently telling her she was ‘born to do it.’

Anna graduated in English and Communications from the University of Liverpool. More recently she has studied for a Post Graduate Diploma in Organisation Development and Leadership Practice. She is passionate about mental health and has a Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy certificate from the Oxford Mindfulness Centre and is also Mental Health First Aid trained.

Anna a proud Northerner and lives with her husband, baby and opinionated Cavapoo.  She spends her free time on one of her many hobbies including painting, gardening and reading any book on psychology she can get her hands on although as a mum to a very determined little girl, she mostly finds herself in the park or learning the additional verses of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
