Head of Solution Development

Amanda brings over 15 years of experience in people-focused roles, across local authority, charity and private sector organizations. She joined YSC in 2016 and has since honed her skills across leadership coaching, executive assessment, leadership and team development, DEI and culture change. Working across sectors, including financial services, engineering and energy, Amanda is passionate about leadership impact and equipping leaders with the insight, tools and support they need to enhance their performance, and in turn, business results. As a Senior Solution Architect within YSC’s Leadership Lab, she works collaboratively with consultants and clients to develop innovative and research-led solutions to current and future leadership challenges. She led the creation of YSC’s 4Dynamix model of Team Effectiveness and associated advisory services and co-created YSC’s Culture Change offerings. Amanda’s YSC experience is complemented by her prior experience of in-house HR roles, advising and leading on areas including performance management, talent management, organizational effectiveness and engagement.

Amanda’s style is positive, pragmatic and solution-focused. She creates an environment of trust and openness, enabling self-discovery and reflection, but is always grounded in the practical and tangible outputs to drive meaningful change. A vehement advocate of maximizing individuals’ potential, she cares deeply about creating the right conditions for individuals to thrive.

Amanda holds a BSc in Psychology from the University of Birmingham and a MSc in Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck College, University of London. She is an ICF accredited Executive Coach, a member of the British Psychological Society and is CIPD qualified. She is also trained across a range of psychometric tools, including Firo-B, Hogan and Swift.

Outside of work, Amanda loves getting creative, be it trying a new recipe, designing a new space at home, or engaging in ‘messy play’ with her son – she is less keen on the tidying up part though!

“I felt that Amanda and I got on really well. She is an excellent listener and gave me confidence that I could speak honestly and openly with her across a range of issues. Her style was very effective in helping me to narrow down what I was really concerned about and to identify practical things I could do to address the issues identified. I think she is a great coach and I enjoyed working with her.”

“Amanda really made me consider things that I never had before and got under the skin of my motivations and potential ability to impact the performance of others. She also was really effective in ensuring that the sessions had tangible elements that I could use on a day to day basis in my role. Amanda's style made me feel at ease and she made me explore things about myself that I recognized and respected in others but had never realized how to effectively self-reflect. I would highly recommend Amanda to anyone who is unsure about how to tap into their potential but is open to that opportunity!”
