‘Cracking the Code’ Research Findings16.Jun.2014
Recently we published a report on ’Cracking The Code’, in partnership with the 30% Club and professional services firm KPMG. The latest research undermines ten myths around how women progress to the top.
Key pieces of data from the report show that currently, a man starting his career in a FTSE 100 organisation is 4.5 times more likely to make it to the Executive Committee than his female counterpart. The blockage is at the top: senior women are 2 times less likely to be promoted and 4 times less likely to leave than their male peers.
The key takeaway message from the report is that organisations need do more around changing their cultural view towards women’s career progression and that women cannot create gender parity alone.
