Richard is a Managing Consultant based in the London office. He works across a range of sectors – including banking and energy – but with an increasing focus on technology.
Richard’s interests include helping others navigate the complexities of organisational culture and change – including the politics that goes with it. His time spent in-house has taught him that real organisational impact is best achieved through a deep appreciation of context and relationships. He is an active member of YSC’s Digital Team, developing agile and flexible talent management approaches that help clients navigate a constantly evolving digital world. He is Non-Executive Director of a startup exploring the possibilities of psychology and machine learning.
Before joining YSC Richard was successful in a broad range of consulting roles, including in-house. Most recently Richard spent seven years at Clifford Chance, where he was responsible for a diverse portfolio including: the firm’s coaching programme, performance management, engagement and organisational development. Prior to this he was a Senior Consultant Psychologist at Capita.
Based in Hackney with his family, Richard enjoys braving London traffic on his bicycle and keeping his two young sons out of trouble. He has a Masters in Occupational Psychology from the Institute of Work Psychology (University of Sheffield). He is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist (CPsychol) registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council.
