Michel joined YSC in 2014 as a Managing Consultant based out of the New York office.
Over the last 15 years, Michel has advised leaders at dozens of global Fortune 1000 companies, on Organizational Transformation, Competency Modeling, C-suite Level Assessment and Development, and Executive Coaching. His areas of specialty include: Organizational Design, 360-Degree Assessment, Executive Onboarding, Cross-Cultural Management, and Social Network Analysis. Michel works with organizations in a wide range of industries including Life Sciences, Financial and Business Services, Consumer and Luxury Goods, Energy and Utilities, and Media and Entertainment.
Before joining YSC, Michel was a Managing Partner at Fisher Rock Consulting and a Partner at Mercer Delta. In both organizations, he provided consulting services in Organizational Development, Talent Management, and Organizational Assessments. Prior to this, Michel conducted independent consulting in cross-cultural training and development at the Training Management Corporation and at Prudential Intercultural Services. He also worked on various applied measurement projects at Citibank Bankcards and for the Department of Personnel of New York City.
Michel started his career as an Officer Psychologist for the French Navy in 1991, where he conducted hundreds of psychological assessments and interviews of new enlistees.
Michel was a contributor to Relationships That Enable Enterprise Change (San Francisco: Jossey-Bass/Pfeiffer, 2002). He has presented his work in organizational transformation and leadership development at several professional forums. More recently, he co-authored a chapter on applications of Social Network Analyses for Executive Onboarding in The Organizational Network Fieldbook (Jossey-Bass, 2010).
Michel holds a PhD in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University and a DESS in Social Clinical Psychology from the University of Paris. He is President of the Metropolitan New York Association of Applied Psychology, and an active member of the Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology. He is bilingual in French and English and fluent in Spanish.
