Every Board Room Needs an Artist

YSC Australia chose the year of its 25th anniversary to launch ‘Every Boardroom Needs an Artist’, an innovative program linking CEOs from leading companies in Australia and New Zealand with members of Sydney’s artistic community in a celebration of leadership, community and artistic talent.

While a major anniversary is undoubtedly a fitting occasion for a celebration, it can also provide ample opportunity for creative reflection. YSC’s Sydney office accomplished this with Every Boardroom Needs an Artist, a project matching 13 extremely talented portrait artists trained at Sydney’s Julian Ashton Art School with CEOs of companies ranging from those listed in the ASX 100 to nonprofit organisations.

Participating CEOs were Shane Brown (Weave Youth & Community Services), Alberto Calderon (Orica), Michael Combs (CareerTrackers), Tony Cripps (HSBC Australia), Paul Dougas (Global Carbon and Storage Institute), Lesley Grant (Qantas Loyalty), Vince Hawksworth (Trustpower), Joydeep Hor (People + Culture Strategies), Ronni Khan (Oz Harvest), Tim Reed (MYOB), Robert Sharrock (YSC), Damian Smith (Essential Media Communications) and David Smith (Diageo Australia).
