Our History

Getting off the Ground (1990 - 1995)

1990 – London

YSC is founded in London by Donald Young, Peter Samuel and Charlotte Chambers. Gurnek Bains and Ken Rowe go on to lead the business within the first year; Young, Samuel and Chambers leave the firm (with Young and Samuel staying on in non-executive roles).

Premier UK (1996 - 2000)

YSC grows steadily from its one office in London. The firm’s core assessment offering, the ‘EDP’ (Executive Development Profile) is increasingly sought after by organisations needing to make critical leadership decisions for recruitment and development.

Global Boutique (2001 - 2005)

YSC’s strategy event sets the scene for the future. A key strand emerging is global expansion. New offices open in:

2005 – Hong Kong

Success to Significance (2006 - 2010)

Throughout the book we explore how meaning can be created through an invigorating sense of purpose, unequivocal values, a sense of belonging and day-to-day leadership.

YSC continues to expand globally with new offices opening in:

2006 Ratingen (Germany)
2007 Houston
